Music and the Brain!

I love this video which summarizes the latest brain research and shows how learning to play music affects the brain in powerful and profound ways.  As I tell the students, every student should have a music class AND an elective.  The goal is not to prepare students for careers in music, but to develop well rounded scholars that excel in all areas of the curriculum.  Thanks for encouraging your child to study music!!
