Welcome to the 2015/2016 School Year! The students and I are very excited about another great year of music for Windsor Middle School. The Honor Band students already have their instruments and have been playing for several days. I'm very excited about the possibilities for this year's group. I know we can create some great music together! The Beginning Band students have been learning to read music and trying out different instrument mouthpieces. We can't wait to start playing!
Students should have brought home the following papers: Band Room Rules, a Class Dojo information sheet, a Syllabus for their group, and an Instrument Loan Agreement for Honor Band students who are borrowing an instrument from the school. I urge all parents to follow their child's behavior and participation in class via Class Dojo (https://www.classdojo.com/). I have found that using Class Dojo really helps me to create a positive and orderly classroom environment. The system works best when parents are "in the loop", too. Many thanks to all who have signed up for Class Dojo, and everyone who so graciously donated to our Instrument Maintenance Fund. We truly appreciate it!
