SF Symphony Trip a Huge Success!!

The WMS Honor Band students had a fantastic trip to San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall to watch the San Francisco Symphony perform.  The concert was outstanding and we had the best seats in the house:  the lowest level orchestra seats about 2 rows from the stage.  This gave us a perfect view of the performers.  Highlights from the show included the performance of "The Composer is Dead" with composer Nathaniel Stookey serving as the narrator, and 17 year old Annie Wu's rendition of the 3d movement of the Ibert Flute Concerto.  We could not have asked for more beautiful weather for a trip to San Francisco.  We even saw an America's Cup boat sailing on the bay as we returned to the North Bay via the Golden Gate Bridge.  In Marin, we stopped for lunch at McInnis Park in San Rafael where this group photo was taken.  Many thanks to our many fine chaperones and to all who were able to donate so that our students could have this wonderful experience!  Thanks!!
